$1 Hog Hunt Special: This hunt package must be used any available time from November 1, 2008 until December 31, 2008. You can check in at 1 PM on either a Monday, Wednesday, or Friday. Check-out is before 11 am on the third day.

The Ranch is 75 miles East of San Antonio, in Gonzales, Texas.

You can attend this hunt alone, bring a buddy or two, or bring at least 10 hunters, and your group will be exclusive on the ranch! With an exclusive group, each hunter will be allowed to harvest an additional wild hog at no extra cost!

Texas has more wild hogs than any other region in the country, with an estimated 3 million in the wild. We must keep year-round hunting pressure on this growing population of destructive wild hogs, and to do so, we offer our annual $1 hunt special, and it is that time again.

Each hunter can harvest any trophy hog of any size for only $1! ( We normally charge $150 per harvested hog. ) You can also shoot a total of any 2 varmints per hunter/per day. Our varmints include. fox, possum, gopher, armadillo, racoon, ringtail cat, squirrel, bobcat, and coyote. This is no extra charge for any varmints taken.

The $1 hog hunt special is a 3 day, 2 night hunt. We will be hunting day and night, so bring your predator calls, and spot lights. The hunting never ends!

Each hunter will pay a trespass fee of $225 each, and will include your guide, cook, and housekeeper. Lodging, and all meals, snacks, and drinks are included at no extra charge. The hunt is only $1! To purchase the $1 hog hunt special, please call the ranch at 832-419-6151 with any credit card. You will be charged the trespass fee of $225 + $1 for the hunt, for a total of $226 per hunter. Meat Hunt Special: Exotic Doe & Hog Hunt ~ $699 per hunter ~

Each hunter can harvest 1 female exotic deer. You can choose a total of 1 doe from the following species: Axis, Fallow, or blackbuck. This also includes 1 wild hog of any size, with no trophy fees. You can also shoot a total of any 2 varmints per hunter, per day. Our varmints include. fox, possum, gopher, armadillo, racoon, ringtail cat, squirrel, bobcat, and coyote. This is no extra charge for any varmints taken.

For only $400 more, you can substitute your doe for a female Buffalo or Elk! If you wish to harvest your doe AND a female buffalo or elk, add $800. (This offer for buffalo &/or elk is limited to the first 30 hunters that book a hunt.)

This package includes your meals, lodging and guide.

This is a 3 day, 2 night wild hog hunt package with all meals, lodging, and guide included, and is priced at $599 per hunter. You can check in at 1 PM on either a Monday, Wednesday, or Friday. Check-out is before 11 am on the third day.

The Ranch Boss Hog Hunt Package allows each hunter to harvest 1 trophy wild hog of any size. Additional wild hogs can be taken for $150 ea. The Wild Hog Hunt:
We’re overrun with BIG MEAN WILD TEXAS HOGS! Did you know that Texas has more wild hogs than any other state! And do you know why! Well, we're here to tell you! The first wild hogs in Texas probably resulted from LaSalle's failed attempt to colonize the Texas coast in 1685.

For the next 200 years, hogs brought to Texas by early settlers eventually escaped, and further added to the wild population.In the 1930's and 1940's Russian Boar were introduced into the wild in Texas, so today, most wild hog populations have Russian Boar influence. Today, it is estimated that Texas has well over three million hogs running wild across the state!

South Central Texas has some of the largest concentrations of wild hogs in the State, and our ranch has some of the largest concentrations of wild hogs in South Central Texas! As a result, we offer the best wild hog hunts, anywhere! Our hogs are big, mean and wild, and our HUGE BOARS WITH THEIR BIG TUSKS MAKE AN AWESOME TROPHY!

Your adventure begins with your arrival at 1 PM on check-in day. After a brief orientation, the action begins. You will be taken to areas of the ranch where our guides have located your game. You and your hunting party will be given additional instructions by your guide, and your spot and stalk hunting will commence.

You will be tracking your game in native pecan bottoms, ancient oak forests, and miles of majestic mesquites. Much of your game will be hiding in our deep native grasslands. You must always be prepared, as it is common to get within 5-10 feet of a pack of hogs hiding in the grass. Many hunters have brought back stories of walking up on 10-20 hogs and being so startled, they never raised their gun!

After dinner at sundown, your guide will take you back into the interior of the ranch for a night of hair-raising action! Most nights are greeted by the sounds of howling coyotes from every possible direction. Bring your rifles, bring your pistols, and if all else fails, have your Bowie knife ready! During your night hunt, be prepared to be surrounded by big mean wild Texas hogs. The big boars only move under the cover of night. You will want to move your spotlights on the edge of the forests, as this is where the cats are prowling. Call them in, and take a trophy of a lifetime. They are always there, and they are always watching you! On a quiet, windless night, the forest is as loud with wild game as a busy city street. More than a few hunters have lost their nerve to hunt the wilds of our moonlit wilderness! The record this year for lost nerve at night is but a short 20 minutes.

Reveille is about an hour before sunrise. This will give you time for breakfast and time to trade stories of your previous night's adventure with your fellow hunters. By sunrise, you will be back in our game- laden fields tracking your game. Early mornings are greeted with the bugling of the elk, or the distant sounds of our trophy rams butting heads for dominance. During your morning adventure, you will encounter many species of trophy game, such as majestic axis and fallow deer, huge red stags, and graceful Texas blackbuck, just to name a few.
At this point, your hunt is only half-way through! If you think the first half of your hunt was awesome, wait until your second night! If you survived the first night, you may be ready for what awaits you down in the "badlands" !

For those that have survived up to the last morning, there is yet more to experience for those that want more. Ask your guide about " dead man's hunt " , and he will tell you the tale. For those that must leave, checkout is before 11 AM on the third day, but for those that can stay, the next adventure is just over the next ridge!
